My journey into Watercolors

I used to do a bit of sculpting soapstone back in the 70s which morphed into woodworking and furniture building. A few years ago my wife urged me to step out of my comfort zone and try watercolor painting. With no training in art I decided to give it a chance. When I watch the pigments and water mix together on the paper, I realize that it has a mind of its own. Mesmerizing, exciting and alive are common terms used to describe this fascinating medium. The infinite variables and endless possibilities cannot be duplicated. The therapeutic value cannot be imagined. I wish I had followed my desire to create years ago... Yep...hook, line and sinker...she was right, again.
